Primitives is a collection of Psysop’s earliest and most diverse songs, celebrating the music-making “primitives” or system building blocks used in its creation.
The sounds blend a modern electronic vibe with catchy melodic and rhythmic colors of rock, funk/soul, rock, hip hop and/or other worldly styles in varying moods. The lyrics express thought-provoking aspects of living in the modern world, often challenging the norm or constraints that limit human freedom and expressivity. And with live solos and improvisation in every song, Psysop hopes the music has a more human feel to it that is expressive, playful, and highly listenable, no matter the Genre.
